TRACK & FIELD
FASO SPORTS PROGRAM
MORE THAN THE FINISH LINE
FASO Track & Field will create opportunities for youth and young adults to discover their abilities, improve their technique, and compete with purpose. Through running, jumping, throwing, relays, conditioning, and mentorship, athletes will develop speed, strength, discipline, confidence, teamwork, and perseverance—qualities that reach far beyond the track.

RUNNING & SPRINT DEVELOPMENT
Training will help athletes develop proper running form, starting technique, acceleration, speed, pacing, endurance, and race awareness. Sessions may include sprints, middle-distance and distance preparation, relay exchanges, mobility, and conditioning, with instruction adapted to each athlete’s age, experience, and goals.

JUMPS, THROWS & ATHLETIC SKILLS
FASO intends to introduce field-event fundamentals such as long jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and other age-appropriate skills as facilities, qualified coaches, and equipment become available. Instruction will emphasize safe technique, body control, strength, balance, coordination, and confidence.

MEETS, RELAYS & COMPETITION
As participation grows, FASO will develop track meets, time trials, relay events, and competitive opportunities organized by age, event, experience, and ability level. Athletes may progress from introductory clinics and training sessions to organized competition, with an emphasis on preparation, sportsmanship, personal improvement, and respect. Programs and events will be planned with respect for faith, family, and Sabbath commitments.
FAITH, CHARACTER & PERSEVERANCE
Track and field teaches athletes to remain disciplined when progress is slow, respond with humility when they win, and keep moving when competition becomes difficult. Through mentorship and community, FASO will encourage athletes to pursue excellence, care for others, and carry Christ’s values into every race and every area of life.
